Privacy and terms (summary)
This summary describes how this VocalForge deployment handles your data. The operator must publish their full legal terms before a public launch; this page states what the software actually does.
Who can use it
This release is for adults (18+). It has no guardian-consent workflow and is not designed for children.
Recordings
VocalForge records your microphone only while a recording indicator is showing and you have pressed Record. Recordings are private to you, kept in private (non-public) storage, analysed by our own servers to measure pitch, timing and stability, and never used for advertising, voice cloning, identity matching or training AI models. You can delete any recording, or everything, at any time.
The microphone is only active while the in-app microphone indicator is shown. Recording starts only when you press Record and the red recording indicator is visible.
Who can hear them
- You.
- A coach, only while assigned to you and only if you switch sharing on. Share your recordings, measurements and lesson notes with this coach. They can listen, annotate and assign exercises while the coaching assignment is active. You can revoke this at any time; access stops immediately.
- Support, sales and billing staff cannot play recordings or see your voice measurements.
- A platform owner can access a recording only through a deliberate, reason-required action that is permanently logged.
What we never do
No community feed or public profiles; no voice cloning or biometric identity matching; no advertising use; no training of AI models on your recordings.
Optional AI wording
Allow an external AI service to reword your measured results into a friendlier explanation. Only numbers and approved exercise descriptions are sent — never audio. It is off unless you and the operator turn it on.
Keeping and deleting data
You choose how long recordings are kept (up to the operator's platform maximum). You can export everything or delete recordings or your whole account at any time in Profile → Your data. Deletion removes data from the live system immediately; operator backups expire on their own schedule (default 30 days), and a deletion record prevents restored backups from bringing data back into use.
Your voice and health
VocalForge is educational practice software. It measures pitch, timing and steadiness from a consumer microphone; it cannot assess vocal health or diagnose anything. If singing hurts, you feel dizzy, or hoarseness persists, stop and consult a qualified health professional.
Songs
Catalog songs are original compositions or used under recorded licences. Songs you upload stay private to you and are never published or exported; you are responsible for having the right to use them.
